About the organization

MMC Mavis Ltd works in the field of education of people of different ages at risk of social exclusion due to gender, race, age, lack of education and access to education, place of residence or excluded, including people with disabilities (also mental disabilities) and facing socio-economic difficulties. The organisation has experience in implementing projects funded by the European Union, based on broadly understood social inclusion and concerning the development of psycho-social competences and professional qualifications translating into active entry and maintenance on the labour market based on taking up employment or entrepreneurial activities – setting up and developing one’s own business. Youth, NEETs, migrants (mainly from Ukraine), people with disabilities, other adults including women and seniors take part in a broadly defined multi-stage education and professional activation. Through its activities, the organisation addresses the needs of the labour market by including extensive educational and ethical activities in line with lifelong learning philosophy. The organisation has a wide network of contacts in the local environment. It cooperates with vocational schools, entrepreneurs, NGOs in the field of education and entrepreneurship and local authorities.

The organisation specialises in organising workshops and courses on psychosocial competences and specialised vocational courses completed with certification. These activities are supported by:
– psychological diagnosis and counselling (strengthening self-esteem, sense of agency, belief in own capabilities, increase in psychosocial competences translating into better performance and social functioning as well as building psychological well-being),
– specialist vocational counselling (diagnosis of professional predispositions, analysis of resources, interests, potential, strengths and opportunities for employment, as well as improvement of professional qualifications and retraining),
– mentoring and job placement (preparation for contact with employers through analysis of the local labour market, development of application documents, organisation of professional traineeships).

All of the above optimise employment opportunities for participants of the implemented projects and their better inclusion and social functioning. Additionally, all the actions undertaken are consistent with the philosophy of sustainable development, promote active civil society and translate into the development of innovation and digital skills. To maximise the educational process in line with current educational trends set by the EU and European labour markets, the organisation works with qualified specialists. Its team includes business psychologists, therapists, careers advisers, job mediators, business mentors and a number of teachers who conduct specialised courses and vocational training, as well as examiners who conduct vocational qualification examinations. Currently, more than a dozen specialists work with the organisation.
